Buyer of Michael Gu’s Mosman mansion revealed as Robert Mead

The Mosman home sold for $12m.
Robert Mead, the PIMCO boss, is moving from McMahons Point to Mosman.
He’s the $12 million buyer of the Mosman home of Michael Gu, founder of the collapsed property group iProsperity.

Gu, who paid $10 million in 2017, quit Sydney for Los Angeles after gaining a travel exemption during the pandemic, despite allegedly owing investors $350 million.
The creditors have been arguing over the house proceeds before NSW Supreme Court Justice Richard Button.
It was sold by Credit Suisse, but the dispute among 10 lenders as to priority, will see Button work out “how the pie is divided and what order”.
