Finn Askew eyeing off a national title after state title win | The Macleay Argus

Finn Askew just keeps ticking off a list of achievements. Fresh off the back of competing in the 2020/21 Nutri-Grain Ironman series, the 19 year old has secured his first state title. The former South West Rocks resident, now competing for the Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club, won the u’19s Queensland Ironman on March 28 in a pool of 28 competitors. Askew couldn’t have been happier. “I was ecstatic – super stoked as it’s my first big win,” he told the Argus. “It means my hard work and dedicated all paid off.” He now moves onto the Australian titles in two weeks that’ll be held in Maroochydore. “I’m really looking forward to it and can hopefully come away with the u’19s title,” he said.
